I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but the screen is still black without any player controls on my netflix account when I try to press play. What worked for me: Install Silverlight, then go into Safari Properties. In the 'Advanced' section there is an option labeled 'disable plug-ins to save power' (or something similar). It's checked by default, so the Silverlight plugin doesn't work. Uncheck that box, save the settings, and restart Safari. Silverlight now works. Then look for silverlight you will probably find it is disabled Now highlight silverlight and click enable. 3) If the Add on is enabled, and it still doesn't work.select Tools, and make sure ActiveX Filtering is not ticked in Internet Explorer.if it's ticked click it to untick it and all should work.
